Gertrude is RWCA Board Chairperson. she works with the USAID Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Kampala Program as the Case management Specialists. She has over 20 years of working experience in aspects of project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, specifically in the fields of HIV/AIDS service provision, psychosocial support approaches, and integration of Gender Based Violence (GBV) prevention and responses in the care and support of persons living with HIV/AIDs, marginalized groups of women and children. As the chairperson Board at RWCA, she has ensured Widows' sustainability and economic viability by developing and overseeing the effective implementation of all economic strengthening activities that target widows and other vulnerable pastoralist Women. In addition to technical and economic programming, Gertrude is an active advocate for the rights of Women and children, she has also presented on widows at the national and local level. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in social work and community development from Kyambogo University.
